I n s tallation I ns t ruction s 4 INST ALLA TION AND HOOK UP Remov e the polystyr ene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desir ed place of installation. The back or sides of the dishwasher ma y be placed up against walls or other furniture units.

6 After choosing the most suitable washing pr ogram using the table pr ovided: • Press the ON/OFF k ey (1) and wait for the inf ormation displa y (7) to come on. • Press the Pr ogram selection button (2) several times, until the information displa y (7) shows the number corr esponding to the program of choice.
7 DISABLING THE A COUSTIC DEVICE The dishwasher ’ s electronic system allows y ou to: • Disable the acoustic device which confirms all dishwasher pr ogramming and operating steps. • Adapt the dishwasher ’ s water filling system to the mains water pressur e.
8 Us e r I ns t ruction s W ASHING PROGRAMS The dishwasher is equipped with a contr ol panel and an information displa y , described in on page 5. “ Description of the contr ols ” , fr om which it is possible to carry out all the power s witch-on, switch-off and pr ogramming operations.
Us e r I ns t ruction s 9 ENERGY SA VING TIPS • Alwa ys tr y to run the dishwasher fully loaded. • Do not wash the dishes in running water . • Use the washing pr ogram that is most appr opriate for each type of load. • Do not carry out any preliminary rinsing.
Us e r I ns t ruction s 10 MO VING THE F A CING P ANEL (PEEKABOO) T o lower the facing panel and r ev eal the FRONT DISPLA Y , pr oceed as follows: • Mak e sur e that the door is closed. • Push the facing panel down until the whole of the displa y is visible .
Us e r I ns t ruction s 11 ADDING THE DETERGENT T o open the detergent dispenser cap, lightly press the pr ogram button. Add the detergent and close the cap car efully .
Us e r I ns t ruction s 12 USING THE RINSE AID AND DETERGENT DISPENSERS The detergent and rinse aid dispensers are situated on the inner part of the door : the detergent dispenser is on the left, and the rinse aid dispenser is on the right.
Us e r I ns t ruction s 13 GENERAL W ARNINGS AND RECOMMEND A TIONS Befor e using the dishwasher for the first time, it is advisable to read the f ollowing r ecommendations concerning dish types to be washed and their loading .
Us e r I ns t ruction s 14 • Dishes and objects in copper , tin, zinc or brass: these tend to stain. • Aluminum dishes: items made fr om anodized aluminum ma y lose their color • Silverwar e: silver items ma y stain. • Glass and cr ystal: in general, glass and crystal objects can be washed in the dishwasher .
Us e r I ns t ruction s 15 USING THE BASKETS The dishwasher has a capacity of 12 place-settings, including serving dishes. LO WER BASKET The low er bask et r eceiv es the full for ce of the low er spray arm, and should therefor e be used for the “ r oughest ” items with a hea vier degree of soiling.
Us e r I ns t ruction s 16 UPPER BASKET It is recommended to load the upper bask et with small-or medium-sized items such as glasses, small plates, tea or coffee cups, shallo w bowls and light objects made fr om heat resistant plastic.
Us e r I ns t ruction s 17 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BASKET The upper bask et can be adjusted in tw o positions, according to the user ’ s needs and according to the height of the dishes in the low er bask et. Pr oceed as follows: Pull-out version: • Pull out the bask et to its limit position.
Us e r I ns t ruction s 18 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Befor e carrying out any w ork, alwa ys disconnect the appliance fr om the electrical pow er supply .
Us e r I ns t ruction s 19 CLEANING THE FIL TER UNIT • It is advisable to periodically inspect the center filter C and, if necessary , to clean it. T o remov e the filter , grip the tabs, turn them counter clockwise and lift upwards. • Push the center filter D fr om the underside to remo v e it fr om the micr o-filter .
Us e r I ns t ruction s 20 TROUBLESHOO TING MINOR PROBLEMS In some cases it is possible to remedy minor pr oblems by ref erring to the follo wing instructions: If the pr ogram fails to start, check that: • The dishwasher is connected to the electrical pow er supply .
