3. Op eratio n : (Always tes t unit prior to i nstallatio n ) 1 . Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws (Figure 1 , A- D ) at each corner of the DC MT until the transmit ter se parates into two pi eces. 2. Connec t a 9 -volt alkaline b atter y to the transmit ter (Figure 2) .
4. Mounting the transmitter: 1. Select a location to mount the transmitter , such as a post or tree . 2. F or best results, the transmitter should be about three to four feet o the ground , and about twenty feet from the side of the drive .
5. 5. Onc e the location is selected, choose the proper mounting br acket. The transmitter comes with two mounting brackets. The plate mount (F igure 3-1) is f or outdoor applications such as trees, posts, etc. T he swivel mount (Figure 3-2) is for indoor applications such as pointing towards dor- ways , windows, etc.
6. Mount the transmitter with the LED to wards the top for proper installation. L OW BA TTERY ALERT : If the receiver sounds a second alert 30 seconds after the rst alert, provided nothing activates the transmitter again, the 9-volt batt er y in the transmitter should be changed .
7. PIR settings (Figure 4) The jumpers settings are as f ollows: Range: High: more than 50 feet Medium: 20-50 feet Low: less than 20 feet LED: ON: LED will ash when it detects OFF: LED is alway s d.

Gently li ft o th e front cover . 3. Locate th e eight dip s witches on th e receiver an d make sure they are se t identicall y to dip switches 1-8 on th e transmit ter .
