4 Introduction The D-Link Air DCF-660W 2.4GHz Wireless Compact Flash Adapter is a standard Type II CF interface adapter (backwards compatible to Type I) integrated with WLAN ( W ireless L ocal A rea N etwork) technology. It provides an easy and quick way to access a wireless network.
LED LED stands for L ight- E mitting D iode. The DCF-660W has one LED: Link/Power - a solid Green light indicates proper installation and a wireless connection.
6 Wireless Basics Installation Flexibility The D-Link Air DCF-660W offers a fast, reliable, cost-effective wireless solution for client access to the network in a wide variety of scenarios and applications: 1. Installation Considerations Designed to go up to 1,311 feet (approximately 400 meters), the D-Link Air DCF-660W lets you access your network from virtually anywhere. Keep in mind, however, that the number, thickness and location of walls, ceilings or other objects that the wireless signals must pass thru may limit range.

Getting Started Setting Up an Infrastructure Network Please remember that D-Link Air wireless devices are pre-configured to connect together, right out of the box, with the default settings. You will need a broadband Internet access (Cable/DSL) subscription.
