7 15. Place the hopper screen down into the hopper , sliding the ends into the clips in the hopper . The screen helps break up clumpy material and prev ents large clumps from reaching the bottom of the hopper and clogging the opening. See gure 12. HOPPER SCREEN FIGURE 12 16.
8 APPLICA TION DIA GRAM IMPORT ANT : Application rates shown in the chart are aff ected by humidity and b y the moisture content of the material (granular and pellet). Some minor setting adjustments ma y be necessar y to compensate for this condition.
9 MAINTENANCE CHECK FOR LOOSE F ASTENERS 1. Bef ore each use, make a thorough visual check of the spreader for any bolts and nuts which ma y hav e loosened. Retighten an y loose bolts and nuts. CHECK FOR wORN OR D AMA GED P ARTS 2. Check for worn or damaged par ts bef ore each use.
