4 ASSEMBLY T o use y our Cuisinart ® Ble nd and C ook So upma ker , be gin by assembling the blender jar . 1. Place jar collar with blade as semb ly (a) on a flat , sturd y sur fa ce. 2. Carefull y place th e rubbe r gasket (b) inside th e jar co llar .

6 COOKING AND BLENDING 1. Place the motor base of your blender on a flat, stur- dy surface. It is important that the surface be clean and dry. Assemble the blender by following the Assembly instructions ( page 4). Once the jar is assembled and is in position on the motor base, plug the blender into an electrical outlet.
7 CAUTION: When removing the jar use caution. The area underneath the collar may be extremely hot. Place the blender jar, lid, rub ber g asket and measuring cup in the upper rack of the dishwasher or wash in warm, soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly.
