11 T o Engage Drive 1 . With t he engine r unning near to p speed, move shif t lever to one of six FORW ARD pos itions or t wo REVERSE posit ions. Sele ct a spe ed appro priate for the snow c ondit ions that exist . 2. Squeeze drive co ntrol against t he right h andle and the snow t hrower will move .
12 Shift Cable If the full r ange of sp eeds ( forward an d reverse) cann ot be achi ev ed, refer to the fi gure to the lef t and adj ust the shif t cab le as follows : 1 . Place the s hift l eve r in th e fastes t forward s peed posit ion. 2. Loosen t he hex nut on the sh ift c able in dex bracket.

With t he snow thrower tip ped for ward (b e cer tain to drain ga soline or pl ace plast ic film un der the ga s cap if the snow t hrower has already been o perated ), remove the frame c over underneath th e snow thrower by removing th e self-tap ping screws.
