RECOMMENDED OIL TYPE Using the proper type and weight of oil in the crankcase is extremely important. Check the oil before each use and change the oil regularly . Failure to use the correct oil, or using dirty oil, can cause premature engine wear and failure.

6 CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL The importance of checking and maintaining the proper oil level in the crankcase cannot be overemphasized. Check oil before each use: 1. Stop the engine and allow oil to drain into the crankcase. 2. Place the unit on a flat, level surface to get a proper oil level reading.
7 3. Replace cracked, fouled or dirty spark plug. Set the air gap at 0.025 in. (0.635 mm.) using a feeler gauge (Fig. 38). 4. Install a correctly-gapped spark plug in the cylinder head. T urn the 5/8 in. socket clockwise until snug. If using a torque wrench tor que to: 110-120 in.
