4 ASSEMBL Y INSTR UCTIONS FIGURE 3 4. Assemble the tongue to the bottom of the front frame angle and the frame strap using f our 3/8" x 1" carriage bolts and 3/8" nyloc k nuts as shown in fi gure 3.
5 FIGURE 5 6. Assemble a wheel spacer , a 1" fl at washer , a wheel (v alve stem f acing out) and another 1" fl at washer onto the axle as shown in fi gure 5. Place a 1/8" x 1-1/2" cotter pin through the hole at the end of the axle, spreading the ends of the pin to secure it.
6 11. Attach the tank to the frame using six 1/2" spacers with six 3/8" x 1-1/4" hex bolts, 3/8" lock washers and 3/8" fl at washers. Place the spacers between the tank and the frame. Tighten the six bolts until the lock washers are fl attened.
7 FIGURE 12 24. Tie the hoses to the front of the boom using f our nylon ties per side as sho wn in the front view in fi gure 13. After tightening, cut e xcess length off ends of ties . 25. Inser t a 3/32" hair cotter pin into the welded pin at each end of the boom.
8 FIGURE 17 FIGURE 16 29. Connect the boom connecting hose and the retur n (bypass) hose to the "Y" valv e fi tting, placing a hose gasket in the swiv el nut on each hose.
9 USING THE SPRA YER 1. Determine the application rate (gallons per 1,000 sq. f eet or gallons per acre) based on the chemical manuf acturers recommendations. Use this rate to help select the pressure setting and tractor speed in the f ollowing instructions.
10 MAINTENANCE 1. Do not store spra yer with an y solution left in tank. 2. P er iodically clean the strainer in the end of the intake hose at the bottom of the tank. Remove the nylon swiv el nut from the hose, pull out the screen and fl ush it with clear water .
