9 5. R emove th e two socke t hd. s crews fr om the split locki ng colla r assem bly (6) and ins tall th e collar onto the botto m of the piston of the front hitc h lift cylinder . Secu re with the two socket hd. sc rews (See Figu re 6). NOTE: If necess ary, use the tracto r hydraulic system to sl ightly extend the cylinder piston .
10 5. Start the tractor and align the front hit ch yoke with the attac hment brackets on e ach side of the rear blower housing (Refer to Figure 9). 6. Lower the front hitch yo ke to clear th e bottom .
11 SECTION III. ADJUSTMENTS AND OPERATION A. ADJUSTMENTS WARNING If the snow t hrower is t o be used o n gravel surfac es, use extre me caution to avoid pick ing up gra vel with the shave plate or auger.
12 3. Discharge Chute Control Crank The dis charge c hute cont rol c rank is loca ted on th e left hand si de of the snow thrower. The ch ute crank control s the dir ectio n in which the sno w is thrown .

SPEC IAL PREC AUTI ON S WARNING If the snow thr ower beco mes plu gged wit h snow or jammed due to hi tting a forei gn object, imm ediately disengag e the PTO to sto p the snow thrower , then stop th e tractor e ngine. 15 LUBRICATION 1. The auge r gear bo x is lubri cated w ith grease at the factory and is n either extern ally se rvica ble, no r requires chec king. If di sass emble d for any reason, lubric ate with 2.5 ounc es (by wei ght) of Alv ania grease, part nu mber 737 -0168 A.
