4 Dish Preparation Scrape a wa y large pieces of food, bones , pits, toothpicks , etc. The continuous filtered wash system will remov e remaining food par ticles. Bur ned-on f oods should be loosened bef ore loading. Empty liquids from glasses and cups.
5 Loading the Silverware Basket Mix spoons, forks and knives to prevent nesting. Mixing items gives better cleaning and drying. F or safety , load shar p knives and f orks with handles up . Be sure nothing protrudes through bottom of basket or rac k to block the spra y arm.
6 Dishwasher Dispenser & Deter gents • Use only fresh automatic dishwashing detergent. Other detergents will cause ov ersudsing. • Add detergent just bef ore star ting cycle. • Store detergent in a cool, dr y location. Moist or caked detergent will not dissolv e properly .
7 Dishwasher Dispenser & Deter gents (continued) Rinse Aid Rinse aid greatly impr o ves drying and reduces water spots and filming. W ater “sheets” off dishes rather than f or ming water droplets that cling and leav e spots. Rinse aids come in solid or liquid f orm.
8 Outside —Occasionally wipe with a mild nonabrasiv e detergent and water . Rinse and dr y . Inside —The inside of the dishwasher, including the filter, is self-cleaning with normal use. If needed, clean around the tub gasket area with a damp cloth.
