Getting S tarted N9061A Application De scription N9061A Application Description The N9061A application is the re mote language compatibility suite for the Agilent T echnologies X-Series of signal analyzers.
Getting S tarted Document ation for the N9061A application Documentation for the N9061A application Signal Analyzers with N9061A When you purchase your X-Series signal analyzer with the Remote Lang.
Getting S tarted N9061A General Rules a nd Limit ations N9061A General Rules and Limitations The N9061A application has been de signed to emulate as closely as possible the operation of the specified spectrum analyzers. It is not, however , intended as an abso lute direct replacement for these analyzers.
Getting S tarted N9061A General Rules and Limit ations Markers The N9071A applicatio n emulates the behavior of le ga cy products. If someone uses a marker s tate which is not available in the legacy instrument, further ma rker behavior is undefined until instru ment preset.
Getting S tarted N9061A General Rules a nd Limit ations Supported Commands Only a subset of the 8566 /8568/8560 Series co mmands is supported in th is application (through a GPIB interface). The list of supp orted commands was determined by f eedback from our cu stomers combined with technical considerations and constraints.
Getting S tarted Hardware and Firmware Requirement s for N9061A Hardwar e and Firmware Requir ements for N9061A One of the following Agilent si gnal analyzers is required to run the N9061A application.
Getting S tarted Hardware and Firmware Requirement s for N9061A 8562E/EC 30 Hz 13.2 GHz 8563E/EC 9 kHz 26.5 GHz 8564E/EC 9 kHz 40.0 GHz 8565E/EC 9 kHz 50.
Getting S tarted Inst alling the N9061A application Installing the N9061A application Remote language compatibility for the 8566/8 568/8 56 0 Series of analyzers is a licensed application on the X-Series analyzers. The op tion for 8560 series is N9061A-2 FP and the option for 8566/8568 is N9061A-1FP .
Getting S tarted Inst alling the N9061A application A license key is usually for one instrument model/ser ial number combination. The license key can only be installed on that instrument. License Installation Procedur e over USB 1. Redeem the Option Upgrade Entitlement Certificate by following the instructions on the Certificate.
Getting S tarted Setting up N9061A on the X-Series Analyze r Setting up N9061A on the X-Series Analyzer Figure 1- 1 is an example mode menu map showing th e N9061A (Remote Language Compatibility) application selection on your signal analyzer .
