When installed above a cooking appliance , the distance between the surface of the hob elements and the lower grille of the chimney hood must be as follows: Minimum 650mm - over an electric hob.
Installing y our C ook er Hood 6 W all Mounted Model Low er Fixings 1. Draw a vertical line on the wall, from the centre of the cooking appliance, up to the ceiling. Check the line is vertical using a spirit level. 2. Put the template pr ovided on the wall paying particular attention to positioning distances (see page 5).
Installing y our C ook er Hood 7 RECIRCULA TION: The chimney hood is supplied specified for installation in the extraction mode. T o convert to recirculation it will be necessary to obtain the optional carbon filter .
Installing y our C ook er Hood 8 Fitting the Chimne y Stack: T o fit the upper chimney sec tion, first expand the chimney slightly to allow it to be fitted over the wall brackets. Then secure the upper section using the two self tapping screws provided .
Opera ting y our C o ok er Hood Do ’ s and Don ’ ts The C ontr ols 9 DO Do take extra care when fr ying. Do keep the heating areas on your hob cover ed over with pots and pans et c. when using the hob and Cooker Hood simultaneously (especially if you are using a gas hob).
Caring f or y our C ook er Hood 10 Before doing an y cleaning or replacing the filters or light bulb , always ensur e that the electricity supply to the Cooker Hood is switched ‘OFF’ .
