ASSEMBLY Read these instructions and this manual in its entirety before you attempt to assemble or operate your new lawn CONTROL BAR mower. Your new lawn mower has been assembled at the factory with the exception of those parts left unassembled UPPER HANDLE for shipping purposes.
ASSEMBLY TO ASSEMBLE AND ATTACH GRASS CATCHER (See Figs. 3A thru 4) = To assemble tubular frame to grass bag, work sewn hem of bag out through the front opening of bag to expose the hem. • Thread tubular frame into hem and gather material at top of frame as shown.

CUSTOMER RESPONS BILITIES LAWN MOWER Always observe safety rules when performing any mainte- nance. TIRES Keep tires free of gasoline, oil, or insect control chemi- cals which can harm rubber. o Avoid stumps, stones, deep ruts, sharp objects and other hazards that may cause tire damage.
CUSTOME RESPONS BILITIES ENGINE LUBRICATION Use only high quality detergent oil rated with API service classification SF or SG. Select the oil's SAE viscosity grade according to your expected operating temperature.
