4 ASSEMBL Y REMOV AL OF P ARTS FROM TRACTOR • Remov e any front mounted attachments which ma y be installed on your tr actor . • Mark all loose par ts and sav e for reassemb ly . Stop engine and let mufer cool bef ore attempting to install dethatcher hitch brac kets.
5 1. Assemble handle lift br acket to rear set of holes on left end of tine shield. Use two 5/16" x 1" carriage bolts and 5/16" nyloc k hex n uts. Tighten. See gure 1. FIGURE 1 2. Assemble angle mounting br ackets to tine shield using f our 5/16" x 1" carr iage bolts and 5/16" n ylock he x nuts.
6 11. Remo ve two self threading bolts (if present) from front cross-member of tractor . Assemble bolts through low er slots in hitch brack et, then reinstall them back into front crossmember . (Make sure notches at top of hitch brac ket and crossmember are aligned.
7 17. Assemb le lift handle ar m to left side of hitch brac ket using two 5/16" x 1" he x bolts and 5/16" nyloc k hex nuts . See gure 12. FIGURE 12 18. Attach dethatcher to hitch plate b y placing mounting shaft into slots at front of hitch plate.
8 19. Install vin yl grip on lift handle as shown in gure 14. 20. Slide lift handle do wn between lift handle ar m and handle lock br acket. See gure 14. 21. Assemb le lift handle to lift handle brack et using 3/8" x 3/4" cle vis pin and 3/32" (small) hair pin cotter .
