Only open the bags wh en you need to use them. Below are drawings of the hardware (not drawn to scale) together with thei r quantities, and the steps where you use them.

Plug in the Wire Harness • Connect the wire harness to the underside of the controls caddy. • If you haven’t a lready, tilt the Cart fo rward onto it s nose. • Tak e the wire harness cable and run it up al ong the right side of the handle’s tubing.
CALL TOLL FREE 1-866-NEUTON1 17 CHAPTER 4 CHARGING AND CARING FOR THE BATTERY ELECTRICAL HAZARD: PREVENT FIRE • NEVER MODIFY YOUR CA RT’S ELECTRI CAL SYSTEM. MODIFICATIONS COULD RUIN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AS WELL AS CAUSE A FIRE, RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY.
18 NEUTON ® GARDEN CART Safety & Operating Instructions Charging the battery is a simple process. Leave the battery in your Cart when you charge it. • Pl ug the charge r connector into the ch arger recepta cle on the right side of the con trols caddy ( Figure 9 ).
CALL TOLL FREE 1-866-NEUTON1 19 • P ull the battery partially ou t of the unit to access the wire terminals. D isconnect the red and the black wires from the battery terminals by unscrewing the terminal nut and bolt. Use a Phillips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench.
20 NEUTON ® GARDEN CART Safety & Operating Instructions C aring for the Battery • Before charging the battery, observe its external appearance and keep it clean and dry. Never charge or use a battery that shows cracks, changes shap e, leaks, or otherwise is obviously damaged.

Recharge the battery after each use. Make sure that the charger is properly plugged into your Cart and that the charger is plugged into the wall outlet.
