Appendix A: Troubleshoot ing 28 Appendix A: Troubleshooting This section gives solutions f or som e com m on problem s y ou m ay come acr oss when star ting up or using your SnapScan. There is no USB port fre e for your s canner. Check if you can use a USB port on the k ey board or m onitor .
Appendix A: Troubleshoot ing 29 Windows 98 fails to detect the scanner w hen you connect it for the first time (PC ONLY). Check if the sc anner is connec ted with the USB cable to y our com puter and that the AC adapter is plugged in. It can always happen that a USB port is dam aged, therefor e try the other USB port of your com puter.
