Remo val and replacement procedures 4–4 3 ✎ The thermal material must be thoroughly cleaned from th e surfaces of the fan/heat sink and the system board components each time the fan/heat sink is remov e d. Thermal grease is located on the section of the fan/heat sink 1 that services the processor 2 .

Setup Utility 5–1 5 Setup Utility The Setup Utility is a R OM-based information and customiza tion utility that can be used e ven when your W indow s operating system is not working. The utility reports information about the computer and provides settings for startup, security , and other preferences.
