Liquefied P etroleum gas (abbreviated L.P . gas or propane), is highly flammable . It becomes liquid when stored under high pres- sure inside a cylinder and vaporizes when released.
• A T ype 1 compatible cylinder with a T ype 1 cylinder v alve has a back-chec k valve which does not permit gas flow , until a pos- itive seal has been obtained. • The cylinder must be arranged f or vapor withdra wal. It must also include a collar to protect the cylinder valv e.
W ARNING Handle a full cylinder with care. Gas is under high pressure . DANGER • NEVER store a spare L.P . gas supply cylinder under the grill body or inside grill enclosure or in the vicinity of any heat producing appliance. (Fig. 12) • NEVER fill the cylinder bey ond 80% full.
Step 1 ■ Unlock Grill Legs as shown. Step 2 ■ Remov e both Regulators from bottom of gr ill. ■ Carefully lower both Left and Right Grill Legs into the loc ked position. ■ Unlock both Left and Right Lower T ank Mounts. ■ See replacement par ts list for parts identification.
8 ■ Carefully inser t Shelf Lip on Right Side Shelf into T op Channel, while at the same time making sure the Notches on the side Flaps fit into the Flanges on the grill body .
9 1. Inspect the gas supply hoses before each use. Hoses can be burned or chafed if the y are routed improper ly . See that hoses hav e no kinks, shar p bends or tension.
10 Step 3 ■ Remov e Regulators from Propane Cylinder Connection. ■ Remov e Grease Pans . Slide out from front of grill to clean or install new alumin um liners in Grease P ans. Step 4 ■ Unlock tab as sho wn. ■ Slide out Grease T ra y . ■ Clean thoroughly bef ore storing grill.
11 Step 11 ■ T o raise Legs , pull out on Braces while depressing the Catches to unlock. ■ Raise Legs to storage position. ■ Lock Grill Legs as shown. Brace Catch Step 7 ■ Lift up on Right Side Shelf to remov e from gr ill and fold in flaps as shown.
12 W ARNING • K eep grill area clean and free from combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable v apors, liquids, and spare L.P . cylinders. • DO NOT obstruct the flow of comb ustion and ventilation air . • Keep the v entilation opening(s) of the L.
13 Problem Possible Cause Solution Burner won’t light Gas pressure is low . Cylinder is empty . Replace cylinder . Air in gas line. Burner may take up to one min ute to light after a propane cylinder has been connected. Igniter is wet. Light the grill with a match.
