2 DANGER • FOR OUTDOOR USE ON L Y . NEVER operate grill in enclosed areas, as this could lead to gas accumulating from a leak, causing an e xplosion or a carbon monoxide buildup which could result in injur y or death. DO NO T use in garages, breez ewa ys, sheds or any enclosed area.
3 • Installation must conf or m with local codes or , in the absence of local codes, with either the National Fuel Gas Code , ANSI Z223.1 (USA), Natur al Gas and Propane Installation Code, CSA B149.1 (Canada), or Propane Stor age and Handling Code, CSA B149.
4 Longer detachable po wer-supply cords or extension cords m ust be used with care. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or e xtension cord must be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. If the appliance is of the grounded type , the e xtension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.
5 DANGER • DO NO T inser t any f oreign objects into the valve outlet. Y ou ma y damage the valve . A damaged valv e can cause a leak, which could result in e xplosion, fire, sev ere personal injur y or death.
6 W ARNING Handle a full cylinder with care. Gas is under high pressure . DANGER • NEVER store a spare L.P . gas supply cylinder under the grill body or inside the grill enclosure or in the vicinity of any heat producing appliance. (Fig. 3) • NEVER fill the cylinder bey ond 80% full.

1. Place a piece of styrof oam from the packaging in the grill to leav e the gr ill hood propped open slightly (Fig. 6). 2. P osition the side shelf hooks with the slots on the side of the grill, near the back (Fig. 7). 3. P osition the side shelf flange ov er the inside top edge of the grill (Fig.

14 Car t Brace Installation 1. Open the grill door . The car t brace will be installed at an angle from the car t base to the back side of the compar tment. The top end has a tab with a hole in the center . The bottom end has two protruding tabs. 2. Inser t the two protruding tabs into the pair of slots located in the car t base (Fig.

17 1. Check that the cylinder v alve is closed b y tur ning the cylinder knob clockwise to a full stop . 2. Check that all the g r ill burner knobs are in the off position. 3. Remov e the protective caps from the cylinder v alve and coupling nut. NO TE: The coupling nut connects to the large outside threads on the valv e outlet.

Read “Cleaning the V enturi” in the section titled “Care, Maintenance, and Cleaning”, and also the section titled “T roubleshooting”. 2. Check that all the b ur ner venturi [H] are set ov er the valv e outlets [J] correctly .
21 Lighting Main Burners Lighting Side Burner 1. Push and turn the side bur ner control knob countercloc kwise to the “HIGH” position. (Fig. 49) 2. Immediately press and hold the electronic igniter button (Fig. 49). Y ou will hear a snapping sound.
22 Using the Rotisserie — 8100 Series The grill rotisserie system is designed to cook items from the back using infrared heat. The rotisser ie b ur ner is an infrared type which provides intense searing radiant heat.
23 Lighting the Rotisserie Burner 1. Push and turn on the control knob for the RO TISSERIE BURNER counterclockwise to the “HIGH” position (Fig. 44 and 52). W ait 5 seconds. 2. Press and hold the electronic igniter button (Fig. 53). Y ou w ill hear a snapping sound.
24 Good Bad Y ellow Blue Holes in Bur ner Y ellow Blue Burner Control Setting Tips • The high flame setting is too hot f or direct cooking. The high flame setting is good f or quick searing of meat, then finish cooking on medium or low flame settings .
25 Direct Method: • The heat source is directly below the f ood. • Use f or browning meat or cooking hot dogs and hamburgers, but check f ood frequently . • Use f or skillet and stir-fr y cooking, but limit the amount of oil and heat to be used.
26 REPRESENT A TIVE ILLUSTRA TION Steps For Cleaning V enturi: 1. Remove the cooking gr ates and the heat tents and set aside. 2. Using a 1/4” he x nut driver , remove the self-tapping scre ws holding the front heat shield (Fig. 58 and 59). Set the front heat shield aside.
CAUTION All cleaning and maintenance should be done only when the grill is cool & with the fuel supply tur ned off at the cylinder . If your g r ill is set up f or use with Natural Gas, turn off the gas supply at the system manual shut off v alve.
