General - 1 - 1. Gen eral 1.1. Safety precautions Only connect to mains p ower suppl y (230 Volt/50 Hz ). Do not place the device in close proximi ty of water (e.g. sink, wash basin, etc.). The device can fall into the water and cause a sho rt circuit.

Preparation - 7 - 4. Prep aration 4.1. Connection w ith cable Follow this step to connect the sy stem: 1. Connect the mains power cable f i rst to t he system and then to a w all outlet. 4.2. Operation w ith batt eries 1. Open the battery door an d insert 8 ba tteries (1,5V , UM- 2/C/LR14).
CD-Player - 8 - 2. Insert a CD with t he label up and car e fully press it down onto the ball bea ring spi ndle. 3. Close the CD drive manu ally. 5.2. CD / MP3-CD play back 1. Set the function switch to MP3/CD . 2. Press PLAY/PAUSE/USB key and the disk will start spinning and than playi ng the first song (trac k).
