In this mode you can activate, or arm, the system by locking the doors with your factory keyless entry transmitter . When the system arms, you will hear a short hor n honk and see the parking lights (optional) flash once.
4 © 2004 directed electronics, inc. armed protection When armed, your vehicle is pr otected as follows: z (This featur e is optional and requir es extra labour) If a door is opened, the system will immediately start pulsing the hor n and flashing the parking lights (optional).
5 © 2004 directed electronics, inc. disarming T o disarm the system, unlock the doors using your factory keyless trans- mitter . The hor n will sound twice, and the parking lights (optional) will flash twice. If the hor n sounds either four or five times when disarm- ing, r efer to the Diagnostics section of this guide.

In V alet ® Mode, the system will not arm, even with the transmitter , but all con- venience functions (door locks, trunk r elease, etc.
