2 English 1. When the inside of the car is very cold and the play er is used soon after switching on the heater , moisture may f orm on the disc or the optical par ts of the player and proper playbac k may not be possib le. If moisture forms on the disc, wipe it off with a soft cloth.

English 5 5. HANDLING COMP A CT DISCS This unit has been designed specifically for pla y- back of compact discs bearing the mar k. No other discs can be play ed. T o remov e the compact disc from its storage case, press down on the center of the case and lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges .

1. T ur n the remote control unit over , then slide the rear cov er in the direction of the arrow . 2. Inser t the AA (UM-3/1.5V) batteries that came with the remote control unit facing in the directions shown in the figure , then close the rear cov er .

12 English CD Mode Operations Loading a Disc Inser t the disc into the CD inser tion slot with its label side up , then the CD will star t playing. * When inser ting a single CD (3 ” (8cm)), insert it from the center of the slot. * When inser ting a single CD (3 ” (8cm)), do not connect an adapter .
13 English CD Changer Mode Operations Listening to the Disc Press the FNC button and select the CD changer mode, then the CD star ts playing. Stopping (pausing) Playbac k Press the Play/P ause button . Press the Play/P ause button again to resume playbac k.
14 English Switc hing Magazine This function can be used only when the con- nected CD changer can store a multiple number of magazines. Ev er y time the MAG b utton is pressed, the ne xt magazine will be selected.
Scan Play (Intr o Music Scan) Press the SCN button , then the displa y sho ws “ SCN , ” then the MD will play the first 10 seconds of each track of the whole disc. Press the SCN button again to disengage the unit from scan play . * A scan pla y will start from the track f ollowing the one currently playing.
