7 Envir onmental Information Pa c k ag i n g All tr ansit packaging materials ar e environmenta lly compatible and can be r eused. Wood is un-tr eated. The plastics can be recycled and ar e identified as follows: >PE< for polyethylene, e.g. the outer covering and the bags in the interior .
8 Installation Installation Location The appliance should be installed in a well ventilated, dry room. Energy use is affected by the ambient temperatur e.
9 The appliance needs ventilation The integrated door of the furnitur e cabinet largely seals the installation r ecess. Integrated-appliances must the- r efore be pr ovided with ventilation by having an opening in the furniture plinth. The warmed air must be able to be exhausted upward s through the air shaft on the furnitur e back.

12 Initial use 0 Insert plug into mains socket. The temperatur e r egulator is on the right side in the r efriger ator compartment. It is also the ON/ OFF-switch.
13 Important! High ambient temper atures (e.g. on hot summer days) and a cold set- ting on the tempera ture r egulator (position "5" to "6") can cause the compressor to run continuously . Reason: when the ambient temperatur e is high, the compressor must run continuously to maintain the low temper atur e in the appliance.
14 Interior Accessories Stor age Shelves/Stor age Racks Depending on the model, your appliance is equipped with either glass storage shelves or stor age racks. The glass shelf above the fruit and vegetable compartment must always r emain in this position so that fruit and vegetables sta y fresh longer .
Interior Access ories 15 V ariable Stor age Box (not on all models, design differ s depending on the model) Some models are equipped with a variable stor age box which is fitted under a door shelf compartment and can be slid sideways. The box can be inserted under every door shelf compartment.
16 Hints and Tips Normal Oper ating Sounds • Y ou may hear faint gurgling or bubbling sounds when the refriger ant is pumped thr ough the coils or tubing at the r ear , to the cooling plate/evapor ator .
17 Maintenance and Cleaning Befor e any maintenance or cleaning work is carried out DISCONNECT the appliance fr om the ELECTRICITY supply . Internal Cleaning 0 Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litr e of water).

19 If after the above checks there is still a fault, call your local Service Force Centr e. In-guarantee customer s should ensure that the above checks have been made as the engineer will make a charge if the fault is not a mechani- cal or ele ctrical br eakdow n.
20 T e chnical T e rminology • Refrigerant Liquids that can be used to a gener ate a cooling effe ct ar e known as refriger ants. They have a relatively low boiling-point, indeed so low , that the warmth from the food stor ed in the fridg e or freezer can cause the refriger ant to boil and vaporise.
21 Service & Spar e P arts If after carrying out the necessary checks there is still a fault with your appliance please contact your local AEG Service For ce Centre. In guar antee customers should ensure that the suggested checks have been made as the engineer will make a char ge if the fault is not a mechanical or electrical breakdown.
22 Guar antee Conditions AEG offer the following guar antee to the fir st purchaser of this appliance. 1. The guar antee is valid for 12 months commencing when the appliance is handed over to the fir st retail pur chaser , which must be verified by pur chase invoice or similar documentation.

The following installation steps are illustrated only when the door is hinged on the right. If you want the door hinge d on the left, please carry out the following installation steps on the opposite si de as appropriate. Cut the cover fillet to size and apply to the side of the cabinet.
