5 There is a risk of an explosion! Do not stor e any containers with flamma- ble materials such as, for example, spray cans, fir e extinguisher refill car- tridges etc in the refriger ator/freezer . • Bottles and cans must not be placed in the freezer compartment.
6 Remove Tr ansport P ackaging The appliance and the interior fittings are pr otected for transport. • Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance. Y ou can remove any r emnants of adhesive using white spirit. Warning! Befor e disposing of old appliances make them inoperable.

Interior Accessories Storage shelves • Y ou should always slide one of the full size glass storage shelves into the lowest set of guides, above the salad drawer s, and keep it in this position.
Adjusting the upper door rack • Depending on the food stored, the upper door racks can be changed to other holders or removed. T ake out the food from the door , press the door racks diagonally upwar ds at their edges, reposition them, and press them back into place.
10 Freezing and storing fr ozen food Y ou can use your freezer for fr eezing fresh food your self. Important! • The temperatur e in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder before fr eezing food. • Please observe the freezing capacity given on the r ating plate.
11 Frozen food Symbols/Fr eezing Calendar • The symbols on the drawer s show different types of fr ozen goods. • The numbers indicate stor age times in months for the appropriate types of frozen goods.
12 Switching off the appliance To switch off the appliance, turn the temperatur e regulator to position "0" or disconnect from the electricity supply . If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period: 1. Remove all refriger ated and deep-frozen packages as well as ice tr ays.
