5 • Please make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out the mains plug, cut off the mains cable, br eak or r emove spring or bolt catches, if fitted. By doing this you ensur e that childr en cannot lock themselves in the appliance when playing (ther e is risk of suffocation!) or get themselves into other danger ous situations.
6 Disposal Appliance P ackaging Information All materials ar e envir onmentally sound! They can be disposed of or burned at an inciner ating plant without danger . About the materials: The plastics can be r ecycled and ar e identified as follows: >PE< for polyethylene, e.
Installation Installation Location The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated, dry r oom. Ener gy use and efficient performance of the appliance is affected by the ambient temper atur e.
8 If your r efriger ator is installed under a continuous worktop, an air outlet opening of at least 200 cm 2 and a ventilation grille (A/B) matching the worktop design should be installed at the r ear of the worktop. The cut surfaces of the worktop (C) should be varnished to avoid swelling due to penetr ation of moistur e.
9 Tilt the appliance slightly towar ds the r ear and pr op it secur ely . Unscr ew the door hinge scr ews (K) and r emove the hinge pin br acket (1). Open the door a little way and take it out downwar ds. Unscr ew the upper pin (A) and scr ew it into place on the opposite side.
10 Changing over the fr eezer compartment door Open the fr eezer compartment door a little way . Using a small scr ewdriver , press the spring in the opening of the lower door bearing slightly upwar ds and take the door bearing out complete with the door .
11 Electrical Connection Any electrical work r equir ed to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent per son. WARNING – THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED The manufactur er declines any liability s hould these s afety mea- sur es not be observed.

13 Starting up and tempe r atu r e r egulation Insert the plug of the connection lead into the plug socket with p r o- tective earth contact. When the r efrige r ator compartment door is ope- ned, the internal lighting is switched on. The tempe r atu r e selector knob is located on the right hand side of the r efrige r ator compartment.

Defr osting The fridge defr osts automatically The r ear wall of the fridge cover s with fr ost when the compr essor is running, and defr osts when the compr essor is off.
18 Switching off the appliance T o switch off the appliance, turn the temper atur e r egulator to position "0". If the appliance i s not going to be u sed for an extended period: Remove all r efriger ated packages. Switch off the appliance by turning the temper atur e r egulator to position "0".
Remove fr ozen food and the food fr om the r efriger ator . Wr ap frozen food in sever al layer s of newspaper . Store it in a cool place, well cover ed.

21 Symptom P oss ible Cau se The food is too warm. Temper ature is not properly adjusted. Please look in the “Initial Start Up” section. Remedy Light bulb is defective. Interior lighting does not work. Heavy build up of frost, possibly also on the door seal.
22 Changing the light bulb W arning! Ther e is a risk of electric shocks! Befor e changing the light bulb , switch off the appliance and unplug it, or pull the fuse or the cir cuit br eaker . Light bulb data: 220-240 V, max. 15 W T o switch off the appliance, turn the temper atur e r egulator to position "0".
