4 Install or Replace Batteries AcuRite recommends high quality alkaline batteries f or the best product per for mance. Heavy duty or rec hargeable batteries are not recommended. The outdoor sensor requires lithium batt eries in low temperature conditions.
5 Cloc k Setup Press and hold the “SET” button f or 3 seconds to enter SET MODE. Once in set mode, the pref erence y ou are currently setting will blink on t he display . T o adjust t he cur rently selected (ashing) preference item, press t he “+” button (press and HOLD to fast adjust).
6 Placement for Maximum Accuracy AcuRite sensors are sensitive to surrounding envir onmental conditions. Proper placement of bot h the display unit and outdoor sensor are cr itical to the accuracy and perf ormance of t his product. Display Unit Placement Place the displa y unit in a dr y area free of dir t and dust.
7 OPERATION Using t he Thermometer High/Low Records Press the “MAX/MIN” button t o view minimum and maximum outdoor and in - door temperature records. The temperature records are automatically cleared daily at midnight. T o view t he MAXIMUM recorded outdoor and indoor temperature readings, press and release the “MAX/MIN” button.
