Thank you for yo ur decision to purch ase Cerwin-V ega’s inno vative new CV S eries professional po wer amplifier! Engineered for s uperior sound reproduction, the CV Series line of pro fessional amplifiers deliver t op quality a udio at a n affordable pric e.
The CV - 5000 amplifier delivers the following po wer ratings. 2 x 1100 Watts at 8 ohm, 2 x 1800 W atts at 4 ohms and 2 x 2500 W atts at 2 ohms 2-channel, para llel or bridged m ono operating mo des for flex ible application - 5000 Watts …and the followi ng features.
1. Rack Mounting Ear s Two front panel mou nting holes are prov ided on each mounting e ar. 2. Fan Ve nt CV - 5000 amplifier is cooled by two rear -mounted fans. Cool air flows throug h the front fan filters, reducing the tem perature of the inside co mponents while f orcing the heat out the rear vents.
7. Prote ct Indicators These red LED indica te that the channel is in Pro tect mode. Whe n the channel goes i nto protect mode all outpu t for that chan nel will turn off by ou tput relay. The protect LED will ligh t when overheating or ot her severe problem s occur.
1. Fan This is a variable speed cooling fan. Cool air en ters the amplifier through the fan ports locate d on the front of the am plifier chassis, be sure no t to block these por ts when installing the amplifier or other associate d equipment.
5. Limiter switch When the input signal co nnected to your ampli fier is too high, you can end up wi th a distorted output signal. To preven t this, both channels o f your CV - 5000 feature a clip li miter that can be engaged or disengage d selectively.
The CV-5000 incor porates protection features. T he front panel Pro tection LED indicates t he activity of the relay speaker co nnection circuitry in eac h channel. When t he Protection LED turn on, this circuitry is active and all co nnected speakers are mu ted.
Clip Limit er Clipping is the result o f an amplifier r unning into a power supply li mitation. The maximum output voltage that any am plifier can prod uce is limited by its pow er supply.
Mode Selec t Stereo Mode In stereo mode, both cha nnels operate indepen dently, with their inp ut gain controls. Signal at chan nel 1’s input prod uces output at channel 1, w hile signal at c hannel 2’s input produces output at channel 2’s ou tput.
CONNECTIONS.
.
These are several ways to interface the CV - 5000 to support a var iety of applicatio ns. The CV- 5000 features balance d inputs and outputs, so co nnecting balanc ed and unbalanced si gnals is possible.
