1 General 1-1 This operations manual includes instructions for using and maintaining your espresso machine, please keep this manual readily available. 1-2 After unpacking, please check to ensure your machine has not been damaged during shipping and includes all parts/components.
1-13 Use softened water to make coffee or tea. W ell / municipal water should be softened to prevent scaling in the boiler , which will shorten the serviceable life of your machine. If a hard water sour ce is used, the lter should be r eplaced every two weeks -- although long-life lters may remain serviceable up to eight weeks.
T o avoid overheating, electric wires should be kept untangled and fr ee of obstructions. Do not block air intake or outlet vents on the machine. Never cover or otherwise prevent the free ow of air acr oss the cup warmer . Please clean machine components with a soft cloth only .
4. Operations 4-1 Activating / Deactivating the W ater Inlet Motor a. If ltered water sour ce pr essure exceeds 2 bar and the amount of hot water needed is small, turn the water inlet motor (2) to the OFF (up) position to permit water inow without internal pump assistance.
c. Coffee / T ea Output Pr esets Place an appropriate quantity of gr ound cof fee or tea in the lter basket and x it into the handle seat. Choose desired water output by selecting cof fee or tea output values 1 through 4. Cof fee or tea ow will stop automatically .
Output V olume Setup a. T ur n the output volume setup switch ON (1) and pr ess the PROG (setup) button. b. The output LEDs should be lit, indicating the machine is in setup mode. c. T o congure key 1, pr ess the key 1 button, which should light LED 1 and switch off all other LEDs.
If necessary , a mild, non-corrosive cleaning agent may be applied to the cloth. Do not spray cleaning agents directly on the machine body to avoid corr osion and possible damage to circuits.
5-4 Steam T ube a. After making steamed milk, use a slightly moistened soft cloth to wipe steam tube. After wiping, release a steam burst thr ough the tube to r emove any residual milk remaining in the nozzle. b. If hardened milk r esiduals r emain in the steam tube, disassemble and immerse tube in hot water for about 20 minutes to soften.
6 T rouble Shooting W ait at least 3 seconds to r estart the automatic espresso machine after turning it off to ensur e previous data stor ed in machine memory is erased. T ur ning the machine on too quickly may cause the machine to function improperly .
