3 Befor e Using for the Fir st Time – Read the instructions car efully before installing and using the applianc e. – After unpacking the appliance, make sure it is not damaged. In case of doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your supplier or a qualified engineer .
4 Important Saf eguar ds and Recommendations – Do not carry out any cleaning or maintenance without fir st disc onnecting the appliance from the electrical supply. – During and after use of the hob, certain parts will bec ome hot. Do not touch hot parts.

6 Use of Induction Hob Not es: – Each selection (by pr essing one of the keys) is indicated by an acoustic signal (beep). – User interface initial calibration: this featur e is for the keyboar d calibration, to adapt the sensibility of the keys to the final mechanical, envir onmental and user conditions.
7 Thermal Pr ot ection The induction cooktop is fitted with saf ety devices to protect the electronic system and each cooking zone from overheating. Overheating o f Cooking Zone – Cooking zone OFF : the cooking zone display shows " H " and " C " alternating or just " C " blinking.
8 The ceramic c ooktop is fitted with induction c ooking zones. These zones, shown by painted disks on the cer amic surface, are contr olled by a touch contr ol system.
9 How T o T urn the T ouc h Contr ol ON and OFF Switc hing ON Press the key and keep it pr essed until the touch contr ol is lighted. The displays of the cooking z ones read " 0 ". Not es: – If the safety key-lock protection is active, the t ouch control can be turned ON only after having deactiv ated this pr otection.
1 0 OR A fterheat in C ooking Zone/s When switching off a cooking zone (power level 0 ), if the temperatur e of the zone is too warm to be touched the display will show alternat ely " H " and " 0 ". Whenever the touch control is switc hed off, the residual heat is shown by a static " H ".
1 1 Booster F unction Rear C ooking Zone Only This function allows the cooking zone to operate at the Booster maximum power (above the nominal power) for maximum 1 0 minutes; it could be used, for example, to rapidly heat up lar ge amount of water . This function is av ailable for the rear cooking zone only .
1 2 Safety K ey -Loc k to Pr otect Childr en This function locks the touc h-control k eys against un wanted activation. T o activate the key-loc k press the key ; the indicator light above the key symbol will light up.
1 3 Pr ogr am for A utomatic Swit ching OFF o f One Cooking Zone This function permits to set a timer fr om 1 to 99 minutes for automatic turning OFF of one cooking zone only . Not e: It is not possible t o set this pr ogram f or both the cooking zones.
1 4 Oper ation Time Limit o f Cooking Zones Each cooking zone is automatically switc hed OFF after a maximum preset time if no oper ation is performed.
1 5 Err or Code on the Displa y/s If an err or message appears on the display/s (the displa y/s show/s " F " and another char acter alternating - e.g. " F " and " A ", " F " and " 0 ", ..... ) : 1 . Disconnect the cooktop from the mains.
1 6 Cleaning and Maintenanc e Cleaning the Cer amic Hob – Befor e you begin cleaning make sure that the hob is s witc hed off. – Remove spillages and other types of incrust ations. – Dust or food particles can be r emoved with a damp cloth. – If you use a detergent, please make sure that it is not abrasive or scouring.
1 7 TIPS FOR INS T ALLA TION Installation CAUTION: This appliance shall only be serviced b y authorised personnel. – This appliance is to be installed only by an authorised person accor ding to the current local regulations and in observ ation of the manufacturer’s instructions.

1 9 Fast ening the Cookt op Each cooktop is supplied with a set of tabs and scr ews to fasten it on units with a w orking surface from 3 to 4 cm deep. The kit includes 4 tabs A and 4 self-thr eading screw s B (fig. 6). – Cut the unit. – T urn the hob upside down and rest the glass side on a cloth.
