4 fig. 4 fig. 5 How t o use the hob The ceramic surfac e of the hob allows fast transmission of heat vertically fr om the heating elements under the glass to the pans on the hob top. The heat does not spread horiz ontally , so the hob top remains relativ ely cool only a few centimetr es from the zone in use.

How t o use the hob Booster The hob is equipped with a booster function, which allow s a zone to run at maximum power f or a preset period of time bef ore r eturning to the requir ed power level. These times are shown in the t able. T o set the booster , follow the st eps below .
7 How t o use the hob The Timer/ Minut e Minder The timer allows you to pr eset the length of time any of the zones will be on, between a minimum of one minute and a maximum of 60 minutes. The timer can be used on each z one separately and can also be used as a minute minder , to countdown the time without using any of the zones.
8 Safety F eatures The childloc k The hob is equipped with a childloc k to lock all the contr ols except , for saf ety reasons. This can be used when the hob is off or during cooking. T o set the childloc k T ouch to switc h the hob on. T ouch the front right z one and at the same time.
9 Safety F eatures T ouch C ontrol Saf ety The hob will not operate if an object is left on the t ouch contr ol for mor e than ten seconds. The zone displa y will show Er03 and the hob will beep for ten sec onds.
10 Efficient Use of your Hob The hob is equipped with zones of differ ent sizes, designed to accommodate most shapes and sizes of pan. F or best results, only use pans with flat bot toms and choose an appr opriate zone depending on the size of the pan.
11 Car e and Maintenanc e Always disc onnect the appliance from the pow er supply befor e undertaking any cleaning or maintenanc e. Y ou should use a non-abrasiv e cleaner to clean the hob top. Any abr asive cleaner (including Cif) will scratc h the surface and could erase the c ontrol panel markings.
