This pa ramete r defines the posit ion of each dra wbar, and the volume of each overt o ne. The larger the value, the greater the correspondi ng overtone’ s volume.

E-27 Applying Eff ects to Tones Chorus L evel (Range: 000 to 127) Specifies the siz e of the chorus sound. Chorus Ra te (Range: 000 to 127) Specifies the undulation speed of t he chorus sound. A higher val ue produces faster un dul ation. Chorus Dept h (Range: 000 to 127) Specifies the undulation depth o f the chorus sound.
Auto Accompaniment E-28 Auto Accom paniment This keyboard automatically plays bass and chord parts in accordance with the chords you finger. The bass and chord parts are played using sounds and tones that are automatically selected to select the rhythm you a re using.
E-29 Auto Accompaniment This keyboard provides you wit h 160 exciting rhythms that you c an se lect usi ng th e foll owing proced ure. You can al so transfer acc ompani ment data from your computer and s tore up to 1 6 of them as us er rhythms in keyboard memory.
Auto Accompaniment E-30 The following pro cedure describes h ow to use the keyboard’ s Auto Accompaniment fea ture. Before starti ng, you should first select the rhythm you want to us e and set the tempo of the rhythm to the val u e you want.
E-31 Auto Accompaniment • It makes no diff erence whet her you press bl ack or white keys to the righ t of a major chor d key when playing minor and seventh chords.
Auto Accompaniment E-32 Example : To play the chor d C major. Any of the f ingering s sh own in t he illus tration b elow will produce C major. • As with the FINGERED mode (pag e E-31), y ou can play the notes that form a chor d in any combinat ion ( 1 ).
E-33 Auto Accompaniment You can set up the keyboard to start r hythm play at the same time you play the accompaniment on the keyboard. The following procedure describ es how to use synchro start.
Auto Accompaniment E-34 One-touch preset a utomatica lly makes the mai n settings listed below i n accordanc e with the r hythm pattern you a re using.
E-35 Auto Accompaniment Auto Harmonize lets you select f rom among the 10 Auto Harmonize types. Type changing is performed by the setting item using th e TRANSPOSE/FUNCTION button.

Synthesizer Mode E-40 Synt hesiz er Mode The Sy nthesizer Mode of this key board pro vides t he tools fo r creating yo ur own origi nal tones. Simply s elect one of the buil t-in to nes a nd chang e its para me ters to create your own original sound .
E-41 Synthesizer Mode J Tone Charac teristic Waveform z Tone Setti ng Specifies which of the preset tones should be used as the origi nal tone. J Volume Chara cteristic Pa rameters These parameter s cont rol how the t o ne ch a nges over time, from when the keyboard key is pressed until the tone decays.
Synthesizer Mode E-42 The group of t one numbers from 700 throu gh 799 (User 00 1 through Us er 100) is called the “user area” be cause they are reserved for stora ge of user ton es. After you rec all a preset tone and change its paramete rs to create your own user tone, you can sto re it in the user area f or later reca ll.
E-43 Synthesizer Mode Use the fo llowing procedure to select a preset tone a nd chan ge its pa ramete rs to cr eate a us er tone. 1. First, s elect the preset tone you want to u se as a basis for your user tone .

Registration Memory E-46 Regi strat ion Memory Registration memory lets you store up to 32 keyboard setups (4 sets × 8 banks) f or instant recall w henever you need them. The fo llowing is a list of settings that are sa ved in re gistrat ion memory .
E-47 Registration Memory You can as sign setups in to one of 32 areas, which you can select usin g BANK b uttons 1 throu gh 4 and the four REGISTRATION buttons.

Song Memory Function E-49 Son g Mem ory Fu ncti on This keyboard lets you record up to five separate songs in song memory for later play back. There a re two methods you can use to record a s ong: real-time r ecording wher e you record th e notes as yo u play them on the keyboard, and step recording where you input chords and notes one-by-one.

You can re cord differ ent tones to the melo dy tracks and build a full ensem ble of instr uments for your recordings.

Keyboard Settings E-64 Transpose lets yo u raise and lower the overall key of the keyboard in semitone uni ts. If you want to play an accom panime nt for a voca list who sings in a key that ’s different fro m the keyboard , for example, simpl y use transpose to change the key of the keyboard.
