1998/2198-1 Module No. 1998/2198 GENERAL GUIDE BACKLIGHT This watch features an electroluminescent (EL) backlight that helps you easily read the face, even in total darkness. Its auto light switch automatically lights the watch face whenever you turn your wrist towards your face.
1998/2198-2 • The backlight turns off in about two seconds, even if you keep the watch pointed towards your face. • Static electricity or magnetic force can interfere with proper operation of the auto light switch.
1998/2198-3 • Each memory area is identified by a number from 1 through 5. The Normal screen shows the current time and date without a memory number. • If the memory area you select already contains data, that data appears on the display whenever the memory area is selected.
