3 INST ALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS Unpacking: Befor e assembling and installin g your ceiling f an, rem ove all parts from th e shipping cartons an d check th em against th e parts listed her e . Before discar ding pack aging m aterial, be certain that all parts have been rem oved.
4 Step 2. Attach th e canopy to th e crossbar m ount- ing br acket with thr ee of th e 8-32 x 2 1 / 4 ″ long canopy scr ews and can opy lock washers .
5 Step 3. T o hang th e fan body in th e canopy , hold th e fan body firmly an d in- sert the n ylon ball into th e canopy opening. Ch eck that no wir es were pinch ed. Rotate th e fan bod y until the slot in th e nylon ball fits into th e pin opposite the can opy opening.
6 BLADE/BLADE HOLDER INST ALLA TION Step 9. Rotate the flywh eel so that th e screw h oles can be accessed through th e recessed ar ea of the m etal plate. Attach each blad e/blade h older assem- bly to the m otor . Tigh ten securely by hand only . BLADE HOLDER SCREW (2 PER BLADE) Step 8.
7 INST ALLING THE SWITCH HOUSING CAP Step 11. Line up th e three thr eaded h oles in th e rim of the switch h ousing with the thr ee clearan ce holes in th e moun ting plate. Car efully sli de the switch h ousing into th e moun t so that the thr eaded h oles are dir ectly behind the clear- ance h oles.
