3 PREP ARA TION INSTRUCTIONS U npackin g: Befor e assembling an d installing your ceilin g fan, r emove all parts from th e shipping carton s and check th em against th e parts listed her e. Bef ore discar ding pack aging materi al, be certain that all parts have been removed .
4 CAUTION: T o reduce the risk of personal injury , use only the mounting hardw are pr ovided with the appro ved outlet box to install the crossbar mounting br acket.
5 HANGING THE F AN Step 3. To hang th e fan bod y in the canopy , hold th e fan bod y firmly and in- sert the ball in to the canopy openin g. Check that n o wires were pin ched . Ro- tate the f an body until th e slot in the ball fits into th e pin opposite the canopy opening.

Tu ck the wires in to the canopy with the wir e nuts poin ted upwards, so that the WHITE an d BLACK wires ar e on opposite sid es of the can opy and all wir es are clear o f the canopy openin g.
7 Step 11. Install th e assembled blade an d blade h older to the f an motor . U se the blade h old er screws provi ded . U sin g the scr ewdriver , tighten secur ely by hand only . Step 10. On the m otor remove th e five shipping blocks by un screwin g the screws .
8 Step 15. Install 2 o f the 3 switch housin g screws on to the fan ad apter plate , leaving 1 ⁄ 8 " threads visible . Feed the wir e connec- tor from th e fan through th e center o f the switch housin g. Align th e 2 screws on the ad apter plate with the k eyhole slots of th e switch housin g.
