3 GENERAL This book contains Start-Up, Controls Operation, T rouble- shooting and Service information for the 48/50A Series rooftop units. See T able 1. These units are equipped with Comfort Link™ controls. Use this guide in conjunction with the separate installation instructions packaged with the unit.
4 System diagnostics are enhanced by the use of multiple external sensors for air temperatures, air pressures, refrigerant temperatures, and refrigerant pressures.
5 Items in the Configuration and Service T est modes are password protected. The display will flash P ASS and WORD when required. Use the and arrow keys to enter the four digits of the password.

29 Indoor Air Quality (IA Q) Options DEMAND CONTROLLED VENTILA TIO N — Un der Configuration IAQ DCV .C , the following configuration parameters should be set to establish the minimum and maxi- mum points for outdoor air damper position during demand controlled ventilation (DCV): EC.

35 HV AC Mode — TEMPERING HICOOL (12) — The econ- omizer is at minimum vent position but the combination of the outside-air temperature and the economizer position has dropped the supply-air temperature below the tempering cool set point. Staged gas heat is used to temper the ventilation air .
