1 Therm osta t cal ls f or hea t. The r elay cl oses on the th ermos tat boar d, sendi ng 24 volts fr om the “COM” te rminal of the th ermos tat boar d to the fl ue da mper. 2 Flue damp er beg ins to rota te open. O nce damp er is full open , 24 volts is all owed to conti nue thr ough damp er to the “ TH” termi nal of ign ition module.

SERVICE PROCEDURE D24-IV Main Burn e r & Pilot Removal and Inspection P ilot Burner Removal Step 1. With bu rner rack rem oved from heater, dis connect pilot tube conn ection from gas valve Step 2. Rem ove the two p ilot burner mounting s c rew s secu ring the pi lot and pi lot shield in place.

Dis connect venting f rom dra ft diverter and rem ove draft d ivert er from top of wa ter hea ter. S tep 3. Discon nect flue damper fr om wir e harness and remove flu e damper from top of water h eater.
