8 Conve r t ing to Side Disch arge • Your mower has b een shippe d as a m ulcher. To conver t it to a side-dischar ge mower, lift the mulchin g plug. Slide the two hooks on the side- discharg e deflector under the hinge pi n on the mulchin g plug assembly .
9 SECTION 5: OPERATING YOUR LA WN MOWER WARNING: Keep hands and feet away from the chute area o n cutting de ck. The blade will be rotating whenev er the engine is running . Be su r e no o ne other than the operator is standing near the lawn mowe r while sta rting the engine or operating the mower .

Release safety bl ade control handl e (the start control butt on will automati cally return to the off/up positio n), engine and blade will stop within a few seconds .
