3 RANGE SAFETY The Anti-Tip Br acket The range will no t tip during normal use. However , the range can tip if you appl y too much force or weight to the open d oor wit hou t th e anti-tip bracket fastened down p roperly . You can be killed or seriously injured if you don't immediately follow instructions.

5 ■ Keep Oven V ent Ducts Unobstructed. ■ Placement of Oven Racks – Always place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. If rack must be moved while oven is hot, do not let potholder contact hot heating element in oven.

7 COOKTOP USE Cooktop C ontrols The control knobs can be se t anywhe r e betw een HI and LO. Push in and turn t o setti ng. On some mode ls, the surface cookin g area locator shows w hich element i s turne d on. Use the followi ng chart as a guide when settin g heat levels .
8 Lift-up Cooktop (on s ome models) The lift- up cooktop provides e asy acces s for cl eaning be neath. Be careful not to dr op the cooktop. Damage could occur to the finish and th e cooktop frame. For more information, see t he “General Cleani ng” section.
9 T o Adjust Oven T emperature Ca libration (on model s with manual oven co ntrol): 1. Make sure the oven tempe rature control knob is in th e OFF posi tion. P ull ov en temp erat ure co ntr ol kn ob str aigh t off and tur n it over . 2. Loosen the loc king screws inside t he oven temperatu re control knob.
10 Bakeware The bakeware mat erial affects cooking r esults. Follow manufacturer’ s recommendations and use t he bakeware size recommended in the recipe. Use the following ch art as a guide. Meat Thermometer On models without a temperature probe, always rely on a meat thermometer to determi ne d oneness of meat an d poultry .
11 Broili ng Broiling uses dir ect radiant heat to cook food. Changing the temperature when broili ng allows more precise control. The lower the tempera ture, the slower the cooking. Thi cker cuts and unevenly shaped pieces of meat, fish and pou ltry may cook better at low er broiling temperatures.

13 Oven Door For normal range use, it is not suggested to remove the oven door . How ever , if neces sary , follow these inst ructions. The oven door is heavy . Before Removing : 1. Use a putty knif e or screwdriver and in sert it at th e bottom corner of th e door stop clip.
