About this Document This manual is intended for administrators and users of the AXIS Q6 1 14–E PTZ Dome Network Camera, and is applicable to rmware 5.65 and later . It includes instructions for using and managing the product on your network. Previous experience of networking will be of use when using this product.
Safety This product complies with IEC/EN/UL 60950-1 and IEC/EN/UL 60950-22, Safety of Information Technology Equipment. The product shall be grounded either through a shielded network cable (STP) or other appropriate method. Battery Low battery power affects the operation of the RT C, causing it to reset at every power-up.

AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product Set the Root P assword To access the Axis product, you must set the password for the default administrator user root . This is done in the Congure Root P assword dialog, which opens when the product is accessed for the rst time.
AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product Manual T rigger The Manual Trigger is used to trigger an action rule from the Live View page. The manual trigger can for example be used to validate actions during product installation and conguration.
AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product Click the Ctrl panel button to open the PTZ control panel which provides additional PTZ controls. User-dened buttons can also appear in the Control panel. See Controls on page 28 . Select a recorded tour and click to play a previously recorded tour and click to stop.

AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Media Streams The AMC Control P anel can be used to congure various video settings. Please see the AXIS Media Control User’s Manual for more information. The AMC Control P anel is automatically installed on rst use, after which it can be congured.
AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Media Streams Note • <ip>= IP address • The Axis product supports QuickTime 6.5.1 and later . • QuickTime may add latency to the video stream. • It may be possible to use other players to view the H.264 stream using the paths above, although Axis does not guarantee this.
AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Set Up the Product Set Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. T o open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Set Up the Product H.264 H.264, also known as MPEG-4 P art 1 0/AVC, is a video compression standard that provides high quality video streams at low bit rates. An H.264 video stream consists of different types of frames such as I-frames and P-frames.
AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Set Up the Product To create a new prole or modify an existing prole, go to Setup > Video > Stream Proles . To select a default stream prole for the Live View page, go to Setup > Live View Cong .

AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Configure the Live View Page User Dened Links To display user-dened links in the Live View page, select the Show custom link option, give the link a name and then enter the URL to link to. When dening a web link do not remove the 'http://' from the URL address.

AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) Advanced Limits Dene the pan, tilt, zoom and focus limits for the Axis product. Movements to the left and right, up and down, can be restricted to narrow the area under surveillance. Near focus limit is used to prevent the camera from autofocusing on objects close to the camera.

AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Events Events The Event pages allow you to congure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur . For example, the product can start a recording or send an email notication when motion is detected.
AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Events - Live Stream Accessed – Trigger the rule when any stream is accessed and during edge storage playback. This can for example be used to send notications. - Motion Detection – Trigger the rule when motion is detected.
AXIS Q6114-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Events Actions Available actions include: • Day/Night Vision Mode – Set day mode (IR cut lter on) or night mode (IR cut lter off). • Overlay T ext – Display an overlay text. See Use Overlay T ext in an Action Rule on page 22 .
