1 1. Introduction This document describes the h ardware and softwar e operation s of the Planar ® ContentSmart ™ Media Player MP -3450, system set up , and frequently a sked questions.

3 2. Configuring the MP -3450 Media Player 2.1. System c onnections 1 Attach a video cable ( either VGA or HDMI) to y our monitor. When using the VGA c onnection , your monito r should support XGA (1024x76 8) resolutio n or greater. For audio output, you will also need to connect a stereo RCA cable fro m the MP -3450 to y our monitor.
4 Navigating the menu s Navigate the menus using arrow keys , spac e bar , enter key, a nd nu meral keys on your USB keybo ard. Use the keyboard arro w keys to highlight menu it ems, press the space bar to move the star (cur sor), and t hen press enter to confirm (<OK>) or reje ct (<Cancel>) any ch anges.
5 2.5. Video o utput settings For best quality, set the ou tput resolution to mat ch your display ’s native resolution to avoid image scaling and blur. If you are connecting t o an LCD TV, the resolutio n setting is most likely 1366x768, 1 280x720, or 1920x1080.
