Because the lens is heavy , doin g so could cause the lens to fall off the lens hood even when the lens ho od screw is tightened securely .

Also t ake care not to put a lot of pressure on the lens. ≥ T ake care not to drop the bag that you inserted the lens in as it may st rongly shock the lens.
