The Eee PC uses an active matrix TFT L CD , which provides exc ellent viewing like that of desktop monitors.
2-4 Chapter 2: Knowing the Parts Status Indicators (front) P ower Indicator The power indicat or lights when the Eee PC is turned ON and blinks slo wly when the Eee P C is in the Sav e-to- RAM (Suspend) mode. This indicator is OFF when the Eee PC is turned OFF .

2-6 Chapter 2: Knowing the Parts B attery Lock - Spring The spring battery lock k eeps the battery pack secure. When the battery pack is inser ted, it will automatically lock. When removing the ba ttery pack, this spring lock must be retained in the unlocked position.

ASUS Eee PC 3-5 F or safety reasons, DO NOT thro w the batter y in fire, DO NOT short circuit the contacts, and DO NOT disassemble the battery . If there is any abnormal operation or damage to the batt er y pack caused by impact, turn OFF the Eee PC and contact an authorized service center .

The power- saving Battery mode lowers down the CPU fr equenc y and decreases the power consumption t o maximize the batter y life. The AC mode enables the CPU to run at the full speed and to obtain the best per formance.
ASUS Eee PC 3-7 Touchpad Usage Clicking/T apping - With the point er over an item, press the left button or use your fingertip to touch the touchpad lightly , keeping your finger on the touchpad until the it em is selec ted. The selec ted item will change color .
3-8 Chapter 3: Getting Star ted Dragging - Dragging means to pick up an it em and place it anywhere on the screen y ou wish. Y ou can move the point er over the item you select, and while keeping the left button depressed, moving the pointer t o the desired location, then release the button.
