Pressure Relief Procedure 3A0019J 7 Pressure Relief Pr ocedure 1. Select Pa r k on Pump Control Switch if av ailable, or tur n off. 2. T urn of f feed pumps. 3. T rigger gun to relie v e pressure . 4. Close gun inlet v alves . 5. Close fluid supply inlet valv es.

Repair 3A0019J 9 Pump Disassembl y 1. Relie ve pressure and f lush system. See Pressure Relief Pr ocedure and Flushing , page 7. 2. Remov e inlet hose and drain inle t housing (7). 3. Horizontally clamp pump on outle t housing (7) in vise, use 1/2 in.
Repair 10 3A0019J 12. Remov e throat retainer (19). 13. Use s crewdriver and carefully pr ess bear ing (16 or 25) and u-cup (17 or 26) out of outlet ho using (7). 14. If o-ring (20) is le aking, remo ve t hroat car tridge (18) and o-ring (20). 15. Clamp fl ats on seal end of displa cement rod (15) in vise.
Repair 3A0019J 11 Pump Assembl y NO TE: Piston assembly tool is NO T needed for 10cc-15cc p ump sizes. 1. Install piston seal installation tool (PT) fro m pump repair kit on displacemen t rod (15). Hand tighten. 2. Apply g rease to seal and bearing surf ace of dis- placement ro d (15).
Repair 12 3A0019J 7. If the throat car tridge (18) was remov ed, install o-ring (20) on throat car tr idge (18) and lubricate with grease . Apply anti-seize lubricant to throat ca r- tridge (18) threads and ins tall in outlet housing (7). Fully tighten thro at car tridge (18) with a wrench.
Repair 3A0019J 13 20. Install displacement rod (15) in main cylinder (3) and throa t car t ridge (18). Ge ntly tap disp lacement rod with a rubber mallet until pist on is flush or below the surf ace of the main cylinder . 21. Remove rod installation tool (RT).

T orque to 50-ft-lbs (67.5 N•m). Assemble and torque after displace ment rod (15) is assembled through throat retainer (19).
