4 OPERATION Before first use • Steam vents (located on bottom of soleplate) should be cleaned before first use. • During the first use of the iron, it may appear to smoke. This will stop and does not indicate a defect or hazard. • To clean steam vents before first use, prepare iron for steam ironing.
5 FABRIC SETTING CHART Ironing Instructions Dry iron using spray if necessary. Dry iron on the wrong side of the fabric. Iron while fabric is still damp. Use a press cloth and steam iron on the wrong side of fabric. Iron using spray if necessary. For cotton, iron while still damp or use spray.
