5 Impor tant Safety Instruc tions Use only the power cord tha t comes with the printer . Use of another cord may cause re or shock. Do not use the cord with any other equipment. Make sure the power cord meets all relevant local safety standards. Place the printer near a wall outlet where the power cor d can be easily unplugged.

14 Placing Originals Place face-down horizontally. A B Slide to the corner . Y ou can reprint photos fr om 30 × 40 mm to 127 × 178 mm. Q.

16 Copying P hotos or Documents A R & 11 B R & 14 C Load paper printable side up . Place original horizontally . Select Copy . F Select paper type/size. Select a color mode. D E Set the number of copies. T o clear the number of copies, press the r · J Cop y button.
17 G Start copying. After step F , if you want t o change the copy zoom, press the o Copy butt on as shown in (1), and then use + or - to change the zoom manually as shown in (2). Or , press the l button to select A UTO to t to your paper size . Q Y ou can speed up plain paper copying, ho wever print quality declines.

20 D Print the index sheet. C Select Index Sheet . Load A4-size plain paper . A R & 11 Printing P hotos from an Index Sheet Y ou can print photos using an A4 index sheet. F irst print an index sheet, mark the photos that you want to print, and then scan the index sheet to print your photos .
21 G H Select border or borderless. Select to print with a date stamp. Check u aligns with the corner on the sheet. E F Select a paper size. Select the number of copies.
22 L Print photos fr om the index sheet. Y ou can print photos on Ultra Glossy Photo P aper, P remium Glossy Photo P aper, or P remium Semigloss Photo Paper . Q If you have more than one index sheet, wait until printing is complete for the rst sheet, and then repeat steps J to L t o scan and print from each additional sheet.
23 Scanning to a Computer Make sure y ou have installed software for this printer on your computer and connected following the instructions on the Start Here poster . Q A Place face down horizontally . B Select Scan . C Select an item. After step C , your computer’ s scanning software automatically starts scanning.

27 Print head cleaning uses ink from all cartridges, so clean the print head only if quality declines. Q If it does not improve after cleaning four times, turn o the printer for at least six hours . Then try cleaning the print head again. If quality still does not improve, contact Epson Support.

32 Code Solution E-01 T urn the pr inter o and then back on. Make sure that no paper is still in the printer . If the error still appears, contact Epson support. E-02 T urn the pr inter o and then back on. If the error message still appears, contact Epson support.
33 Replacing Ink Cartr idges Ink Cartridge Handling Precautions Never move the print head b y hand. Some ink is consumed from all cartridges during the following operations: print head cleaning and ink charging when an ink cartridge is installed. For maximum ink eciency , only remove an ink cartridge when you are ready to replace it.
34 A B Never open the cartridge cover while the print head is moving. c Check the color to replace . Open. T o replace an ink cartridge before it is expended, press the Index Sheet and u Scan buttons at the same time to enter Setup mode. Then, use the l or r buttons to select Ink Cartridge Replacement , and then press the x Start button.
35 F G H Remove the yellow tape . Inser t and push. Close. Be careful not to break the hooks on the side of the ink cartridge. c If you nd it dicult to close the cover , press down on each cartridge until it clicks into place.
