12VDC OUT OPT DIGITAL OUT 2) Refer to the Ant enna Connection leaet. Choose and connect an FM Antenna. Position the F M antenna. Connect and position the AM antenna. Setup 1) Locate and r emove the Ant enna Pack and the Whip Antenna fr om the car ton.
-3- 5) Press the P ower button. Y ou can now set the date and time . 4) Place the radio in its intended loca tion. Connect the AC plug to a 120 V AC outlet. 6) T o reach the date and time adjustment scr een: First pr ess and hold the JOG button until you see "HD RADIO & ANAL OG" on the display .
-4- 3) If desired, store t en radio stations (either AM or F M) for immediate recall . While tuned to the station, press and hold down a PRESET button on the remote contr ol for at least two seconds. The display will conrm the sta - tion is stored.
-5- 2) Besides your PRESET selections, you can assign up to twenty additional AM and FM sta tions as F avor - ites. T une to a station that isn't already assigned to a Preset butt on, then press and hold the F A VORITE button (front panel or r emote) for ov er two sec - onds.
-6- Receiving HD Radio™ broadcasts : A broadcast with an HD Radio™ digital signal does not immediately start to play when you tune to the station's frequency . The receiv er builds up a reserve of digital infor - mation before it starts playing the audio .

F A VORITE FM AM A UX SEEK F A VORITE JOG TUNING SOURCE Push repeatedly to select the FM, AM or F avorite bands or the Aux input. TUNING If the AM or FM band is selected, adjust this knob to tune the radio frequency or to the next stream within an HD Radio multicast.
JOG [see page 10 for complete menu listings] Press quickly to enter the adjustment mode for the primary radio settings. Press and hold to enter the adjustment mode of the secondary radio settings. Alternate between the V olume control and the JOG button for adjustments.
1) Audio Display: This featur e displays a radio broadcast's audio spectrum. It shows the intensity of the audio at ten dier ent frequency bands. Once engaged, the A udio Display becomes the default screen. Any c ontrol action will replace the Audio Display until ve sec onds after the last control input.
Alarm F eatur es The SoundW orks Radio 820HD has two independent wakeup alarms. ACTIV A TION Each alarm can be set to W ake T o M usic or Wake to T one (a beep sound) using the Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 buttons. RESET Once either alarm activates, reset the alarm by pr essing either the Alarm 1 button, the Alarm 2 button or P ower .

3) Once you see the desired A larm Activation mode on the display , wait ve seconds. The radio will store your request and return the radio t o normal operation. 2) While the display is visible, c ontinue to use the Alarm button to choose between Music Wakeup alarm, T one W akeup alarm and NO alarm.
-17- RESET Once either alarm activates, reset the alarm by pr ess- ing either the Alarm 1 button, the Alarm 2 button or Pow er . SNOOZE The Snooze bar silenc es the wakeup alarm for a user- determined interval. The wakeup alarm reactivates after the snooze interval.
