Installation Instructions – Celestron 11” Telescopes Important: The telescope optical tube must b e positioned hori zontall y before removing the original focus assemb ly. If the telescope is not horiz ontal the primar y mirror could move during the installati on.
Step 2 Move Primary Mirror Back Turn the brass focus shaft clockwis e to bring the mi rror back and expose the Phill ips- head screw at the end of th e threaded focus rod. Step 3 Remove Set Scre w Use screwdriver to remo ve the small Philli ps screw from the end of the threaded focus rod.
Step 4 Remove Focus A ssembl y Cover Pl ate Use screwdriver to remo ve three screws from the focus assembl y cover plate (the thre e screws around the outsid e of the focus shaft). Rem ove the cover plate. Hang on to the three Phillips screws as t hey will be used to attach the S CT MicroFocuser.
Step 6 Thread on SCT MicroFocu ser Begin threading the SCT Mi croFocuser onto the threaded focus rod. When there is onl y about 1/4" left to go, simply push the focuser th e rest of the wa y in.
